Frequently Asked Questions
How does this work?
Set up your complimentary phone consultation with me here. During our call we will to get to know each other a bit. You will share about your situation and ask all of the questions you would like. Together we will determine how I can best support you.
What are your session fees?
Session fees vary depending on season and availability. During our initial consultation we will discuss current fee options. Sliding scale is available.
What are the other therapist options?
There are wonderful Columbia University trained licensed psychotherapists who can work with you over Skype or phone at lower rates. Click here for information on Jasmin Balance Consulting Therapists.
How late do you see clients?
10:30pm EST, sometimes until 11pm EST.
Are you flexible regarding which communication option we use each week?
Of course. If sometimes it’s easier to speak on the phone than Skype, it’s no problem at all. You just have to let me know.
How do I make payments?
Your credit card will be kept on file and charged accordingly.
What happens if I have to cancel a session?
- Advanced Notice: If you let me know in advance that you won’t be able to meet, we will save the unused session(s) for a later date.
- Reschedule: If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact me at least 24 hours in advance so that we can try to re-schedule your appointment for another time that week (both of our schedules permitting).
- Full Cancellation: Once you schedule a session, it is your reservation for the week. If you must cancel altogether, the missed session cannot be saved for a later date.
Do you take insurance?
Many clients receive reimbursement from their out-of-network mental health coverage. Each month you will receive an itemized receipt that you can send in to your insurance for reimbursement.
How much money will I be reimbursed from my insurance company?
It varies depending on your plan. Please check with your insurance provider directly. Have the following information available:
Jasmin Tanjeloff Terrany, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
Florida LMHC License #: MH10944
New York LMHC License #: 004454-1
Can I meet less frequently than once a week?
Unfortunately not. Consistency is the most important part of the therapeutic process. When we speak regularly we develop true depth and intimacy in our relationship; and this is when real personal growth occurs. If you aren’t fully ready for this type of commitment to yourself, we’ll be here when you are!
I do not live in the United States, is it possible for us to work together?
Of course! Many of my clients live abroad. We can have our sessions through Skype, Viber, FaceTime or any other option you prefer. Payments are made by credit card and charged in US dollars.
